The IAEA mission arrived at the Zaporizhzhia NPP - "Energoatom"

The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Energodar, which is occupied by Russia.

The department has not yet provided other details. Meanwhile, Russian mass media are distributing video footage of cars entering the territory of the station.

On the eve of the visit of the IAEA mission, the Rashists resorted to new provocations at the ZNPP. Today, September 1, 2022, at 4:57 a.m., as a result of another mortar shelling by the Russian occupying forces at the site of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the emergency protection was activated and the operating 5th power unit was shut down," Energoatom reported today.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said the mission was aware of "increased military activity in the area" but planned to visit the facility and meet station personnel.
