The death of the cruiser "Moscow"
The flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva missile cruiser, sank on April 14, 2022, after being hit by the Neptune missile system of the Ukrainian Naval Forces on April 13, 2022.
The cruiser Moskva was the third largest warship of the Russian Navy and the largest and most armed in the Black Sea Fleet. The Moskva is potentially the largest warship ever put out of action by a missile. The last time a ship of this type was sunk 40 years earlier - in 1982, during the Falklands War, a British submarine sank the cruiser General Belgrano of the Argentine Navy.
