Almost 40% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure was seriously damaged due to shelling by the Russians.

Due to the increase in electricity consumption, NEC "Ukrenergo" ordered emergency shutdowns in the capital and seven regions.

Ukrenergo informs about this in Telegram.

"Since 09:30, emergency shutdowns have been applied in the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. Additional consumption restrictions are necessary because the cold weather increases the consumption of electricity, which leads to an increase in the load on equipment and a shortage of electricity in the power system," Ukrenergo informs.
