Five kamikaze drones out of 28 exploded in Kyiv


On the morning of Monday, October 17, Kyiv was rocked by a series of explosions in the Shevchenkiv district of the capital. Later, the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klychko, confirmed that five kamikaze drones were hit, out of 28 Iranian UAVs flying to Kyiv. Five dead bodies were found from under the rubble of a high-rise building destroyed as a result of a drone attack.

On the morning of October 17, more than 25 settlements were hit by Russian strikes, new power outages began, but restoration work is already underway. Zelensky also said that in just 12 hours from 21:00 on October 16, the defenders of Ukraine shot down 37 Iranian Shahed drones and several cruise missiles.
