Russian MT-LB Destroyed

A look at a video here, once again from near Borshchova. A town that keeps cropping up in videos of Russian equipment being destroyed. This one, features a very well camouflaged MT-LB getting targeted by a Ukrainian T-64 tank. Now, the footage of the tank firing is stock footage. It has appeared in a lot of these videos. So, three shots are fired at the tank. Two missing, with the aim being corrected and the end result being a destroyed MT-LB. So, the MT-LB was here. Pretty well hidden. But, of course, not hidden well enough. This is in the east part of Borschchova. The name may ring a bell to some of you as it’s appeared in a few of my videos. So, the location and discussion may be old hat for some viewers who saw the older videos. But, for people who didn’t see them, Borschchova is here—sort of in the contested territory between Russian occupied Ukraine and Ukrainian controlled territory. It has basically become a bit of a killing zone. We’ve seen in the past month or strikes on a number of MT-LBs as well as buildings containing Russian soldiers. These strikes have come from howitzers, mortars, anti-tank missiles and, very often, the T-64 using indirect fire as we saw here. Surprisingly, Ukraine has a lot of success with T-64 in an indirect fire role. As we saw here, three shots and the MT-LB was gone. So, it seems Ukraine is pretty much zero’d in on this town and is content to just sit back and pick off Russian soldiers and positions as and when they appear. Why bother recapturing the town when they can just sit back and pick Russia off at range? Interesting. I’ve heard little, if anything about Ukrainian losses here from counter-battery fire. Of course, not hearing about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Ukrainian artillery and vehicles could have been hit here too. But it could that Russian artillery is deployed elsewhere and this region is pretty much under the control of troops supported by MT-LBS. I am surprised Russia hasn’t just given Borshchova up as a lost cause by now. I expect it will appear in another post soon.
