Mass grave of Ukrainian found in Izium
On September 15, Oleg Kotenko, the Commissioner for Missing Persons, reported that mass graves were found on the territory of the forest strip in Izyum, most of the graves were home-made crosses and numbers. The commissioner assumed that most of the buried died during Russian artillery fire.
In a comment to Radio Svoboda, the commissioner said that 20-25 people were buried in one of the graves, which had the inscription "17 people of the Armed Forces of Ukraine".
Ihor Klymenko, head of the National Police, said that approximately 445 graves were found on the territory of the mass burial site.
"The whole world should see this. A world in which there should be no cruelty and terrorism. But all this is. And its name is Russia. Russia leaves behind only death and suffering. Murderers. Executioners. Deprived of everything human. Do not run away . Don't hide. Retribution will be justly terrible. For every Ukrainian, for every tortured soul," the president said.
Separately, it is noted that most of the dead, whose bodies are now being pulled out, have signs of torture.
